BCAA PUBLIC NOTICE

 

BCAA IS CLOSING ON JUNE

4, 2014 AT 5 P.M.

 The Bee County Commissioners’ Court has taken action to voluntarily relinquish all Bee Community Action Agency (BCAA) programs on June 4, 2014.  Programs and services have been assumed by other agencies in our area and some are currently pending the transition of services.  The following programs have been assumed by the agencies noted to become effective June 5, 2014:

 

  • Head Start Program and Child and Adult Care Food Program - The Community Development Institute (CDI) Head Start have assumed the Head Start Program and Child and Adult Care Food Program.Services shall be effective June 5, 2014.For further information, please contact CDI Head Start at 361-687-2999.

     Rural Transit District – The Rural Economic Assistance League, Inc. (REAL Transit) has assumed the Bee Community Action Agency’s Rural Transit District service area counties of Aransas, Bee, Live Oak, and Refugio.For further information, please contact REAL Transit at 361-358-7229, 1-800-358-5534 (for out of area transit passengers), or 361-668-3158 (REAL main office).

  • The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, State funding agency for the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) and Community Services Block Grant Program, will implement a Request for Applications process to seek a new provider (s) for the service area counties for each program.BCAA assisted CEAP Utility Assistance Component clients with 2014 obligations through lump sum payments to energy providers.Clients are encouraged to follow-up with their respective energy providers to ensure payments are posted to individual accounts.
